Welcome to CCEL

The Carolina Consortium for Enterprise Learning is one of five Race to the Top District grants in nation funded in December 2013 to transform public education and improve outcomes for students. Enterprise Learning parallels our national initiative for college and career readiness developed through engaging, “real-world” project-based learning guided by standards, assessments, and personalized instruction. The four school districts in our consortium are:

  • Williamsburg County School District

Our Vision

The Vision for CCEL is: PK-12 students in CCEL Schools will become Enterprise Learners who successfully develop, pursue, and attain rigorous learning and living goals that prepare them for college, careers, and citizenship.

What is Teaching in CCEL schools?

CCEL embraces shared approaches and strategies to achieve learning across classrooms through a focus on “anywhere, anytime” personalized learning tracked through a learning management system, effective standards-based instruction infused with high quality resources and assisted by technology, support with and access to college and careers.

What is Learning in CCEL schools?

Through CCEL, four districts will work together to advance implementation of continued instruction aligned with South Carolina State Standards, and use of and development of high quality common formative assessments. Teachers will have time, support, and access to a broad range of materials to support instruction aligned with state standards.

What is Sharing in CCEL schools?

Building on shared goals and strategic plans and progress in the four core educational assurance areas, CCEL represents a synergy and a deep commitment to implementing deep, systemic changes necessary to radically transform learning, readiness, achievement, and attainment for participating students, their families, their administrators, and their teachers.
